Not a lot on the net about it. Part of identifying a plant is telling people about said plant. Like its origins for example..etc how did you discover its identification?
Identifying the plant is usually by its Taxon. With the plant's name identified then one could find out more information related to it. It is the first step to knowing the plant.
There are a number of ways we do to identify a plant. Basically it is to look at other sites for similar looking plants and narrow it down to the specific one. We do based on scientific description of the plant to identify it but that takes a much longer time.
There are a number of sites that provides the names of the plants. Many more are not listed below.
1. https://florafaunaweb.nparks.gov.sg
2. http://www.natureloveyou.sg/
3. https://www.inaturalist.org
4. https://singapore.biodiversity.online/
Except for iNaturalist, these sites are purely Singapore plants (native and naturalized). Places that have foreign plants not found else where in Singapore are Botanic Gardens, Hort Park, and Garden By the Bay.
